Common
questions
Still have a question? We're a small team and we answer personally.
Contact us →Do I need to be based in Africa to sell?
No. Afrotunda welcomes makers from Africa and the diaspora worldwide. Whether you're in Lagos, Amsterdam, London, or Accra — you're welcome here. What matters is the craft and the intention behind it.
What kinds of products can I sell?
We accept handmade and artisan products: jewellery, clothing, bags, accessories, home décor, and art. Products must be genuinely handmade or crafted with care. We do not accept mass-produced or dropshipped items — full stop.
How does fulfilment work?
You manage your own fulfilment. Buyers contact you directly to arrange orders and delivery. Afrotunda handles the discovery — you handle the rest your way. We won't tell you how to pack or ship your work.
How long does approval take?
We aim to review all applications within 3–5 business days. We review every application personally — this isn't automated. You'll hear from us by email with a decision and next steps.
Can I sell in multiple languages?
The Afrotunda platform supports English and Dutch. We recommend writing your product descriptions in English as a minimum — our team can advise on Dutch translations when you're approved.
What happens after I apply?
We'll email you within 3–5 days. If approved, we'll ask for a few more details — your store name, a short bio, and your best product photos. Then you'll be live. If the fit isn't right yet, we'll tell you honestly and explain why.
